Direct shipping of both saprolitic and low grade limonitic ores is now big business - so we would anticipate 1% limonitic ores with high iron content to be in demand and highly profitable. Then there is the possibility of heap leaching -notwithstanding the clay content of tropical ores technology is now rapidly solving that problem for a reasonable capex . Then there is HPAL and various other processes - the day of lateritic nickel has most definitely arrived.
