    The rule you have in mind is about"related parties" and "associates". Murdoch and Gordon are now associates at TEN. So far Wilson is not an associate of anyone (eg Blackrock), so there is no deal yet.

    The Takeovers Panel will decide whether Wilson can vote for his proposal, if there is one. A lot will turn on whether there is any alternative.
