Im no fan of Selwood but if you look closely at the right boot he was "backwardly" tripped. However the vision of putting your arms out to protect yourself seems malicious on Selwoods part. Having played football that is an instinct for survival, not a malicious act. Using your face to land on just goes against the grain.
