SYDNEY, June 16 (Reuters) - Australian police said on Friday a fourth man has been charged in connection with a deadly siege last week, which Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull called an "act of terrorism".
The 36-year-old suspect was charged with a range of offences after it was alleged he helped supply a gun used in the incident, the Australian Federal Police said in a statement.
Three others have already been charged with firearm offences relating to the incident.
The deadly attack took place on June 5 in Australia's second-largest city with police shooting dead a gunman, Yacqub Khayre, after he killed a man in the foyer of an apartment block and held a woman hostage inside.
Police said they were investigating the siege as act of terrorism after Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack via its Amaq news agency.
