either I have missed something here or you are short on some basic maths

.5 of a cent (half a cent) + 30 cents = 30.5 cents

Now If I buy the share outright I pay 28 cents as per your example.

The last time I checked 28 cents is less than 30.5 cents so would I not just pay for the share and pick up the two cents profit if they increase

Or does the messiah have another explanation !!!
