SMM has already tried to interfere with SJ.
Have a read of the document from the Sumitomo website, please let me know your thoughts.
I do believe that the (below) statement they have published contains some lies, however it goes to show how much they are trying to interfere.

Litigation Update on 23 March 2017
On 21 March 2016 the Court of Appeal of Solomon Islands delivered its
judgment allowing the appeal of SMM Solomon Ltd in the long running
dispute between SMM Solomon Ltd and Axiom KB Ltd. The Court of
Appeal issued its formal orders on 9th March, 2017 (see attachment Click
Herei). In its judgment dated 21 March 2016 the Court had said that the
letter of intent issued by the Minister for Mines to Axiom KB Ltd on 12 April
2011 should be quashed. Axiom KB Ltd asked the Court to limit that order to
Takata but the Court did not grant Axiom KB Ltd’s request.
The Court has now confirmed in its final orders that the letter of intent
(which was given to Axiom KB Ltd over both Takata and San Jorge) has been
declared to be invalid.
Axiom Mining has published statements and articles have appeared in local
and international newspapers alleging that SMM Solomon Ltd has been in
contempt of the Honourable High Court of Solomon Islands by allegedly
breaching an order made on 24 September 2014. That order was set aside
by the Court of Appeal when it gave its judgment on 21 March 2016.
SMM Solomon Ltd denies any alleged breach of orders in contempt of the
Honourable High Court of Solomon Islands. It considers Axiom Mining’s
allegations to be baseless. SMM Solomon Ltd will continue to strongly
defend those claims and believes that it will be successful.
