We all have to start somewhere and all make mostly mistakes.

Taking tips from anyone is OK only if you can validate the idea and have entry and exit points.

You will probably do all your dough and that will be a good thing.

Why, because a worse thing is making a killing on your first try.

Winning first up will instill a sense of "if I did it once I can do it again". That can leave you addicted for life even if you don't have a rational approach.

Losing first up is a blessing. The pain is severe and because it is probably all the money you had, you will be cautious for the rest of your life. You will hopefully research well and be conservative in money management.

Count yourself lucky, I mean it.
