The first signs of covering the short are in from last Tuesday's ASIC data. They covered at least 58,700 last Tuesday (possibly as much as 118,700 depending on whether the gross shorts from the same day count in the ASIC data) but still had 2,566,311 outstanding which may or may not have been reduced on Wed/Thu/Fri last week.

They also didn't short any on Friday even when it spiked on the announcement. I think this is a good sign.
