re: play nickel -not gold -and rest easy!! A sound strategy, TigerTen but why not a bet both ways?

I still believe gold stocks have a lot of gallop left in them and I hold a few interesting speccies (GDN, GIR and MTB) along with exposure to tantalum stocks through TAA and GIP. You may well be right that nickel proves even hotter than gold though. Certainly there's a dearth on the supply side for the next 2 years or so with consequent upward pressure on the nickel price.

Of the nickel stocks, I like IGO (a lot, after yesterday - though I don't hold it to my deep chagrin) and TIR, which has significant upside in the weeks to come IMO and very low prospects of dilution medium term. In fact I view Titan as the next big thing. It's a very active explorer with good tenements that it acquired very cheaply, plenty of ready cash and has the prospect of BioHeap (already lab-proven) rendering their large low-grade ores commercially viable down the track.

For the longer term, SMY and VRE are good bets in my view, although there is the risk of further capital raising with the latter. I hold neither of these.

I hold TIR. What are your picks? Best of luck.

    R/Gupper
