I suspect GRK is fracing the granites at Blanche because the seismics indicate that the granites below are homogenous and continue to much greater depths.
Note also that at Habanero the pressurised water was evident at 2300 mtres whilst Blanche was dry. Ask any oil/gas man what overpressured drilling management means and the end result is high operating cost. GDY claims that "Temperature is King", so they would becuase they have a lot of it , but they don't talk about the water pressure, nor do they talk about the vast cost of running a powerline to the grid. I have said before it may be $200M for 500 klms of line ($400K per klm). I am told by some mining types in the area that $700k is closer to the mark. My old $200M for the powerline must just be $150M too light.
There is no value in trying to compare costs between what GDY says about their Hab holes and extrapolating that into Blanche. Different geology completely. Same as trying to extrapolate it to Petratherms holes.
Sure, GDY may have some heat but I think they say that to divert attention from what is really the issue.
