One point that doesn't seem to have been considered is what the active ingredients are in the product. For instance, Thermaquatica have said that acetic acid is one product from Illinois coal. And acetic acid acts as a biostimulant too:

Whatever it is, if it's easily and cheaply available on the market, there wouldn't be the need to build an OHD plant. That would make the PFS unworkable for this application.
