The 6,000 units statement was drawing a line and closing off the delivery of the units ordered earlier via IndieGoGo and similar. It marked a point of change from pre-orders to current orders. Hence its importance, and timing.
The obvious hope we would have if we wish to see rapid rise in SP is some forward looking projections in the next quarterly. Quite common for growing companies.
