    Verizon is using SYT's technology to provide data-exemption for their Fios mobile services. The data is sponsored by Verizon.

    In the future, Verizon might sublicense the technology to provide sponsored data services to advertisers. The data will be sponsored by the advertisers.

    Same tech and principle. The difference is obviously just "who is paying for the data".
