For my part I limit my consumption of beef, you jest about stopping livestock from farting but the harsh truth is that only live stock will fart and farmers will not grow more cattle unless there is a market for it.

Making everyone drive a Prius is the wrong answer. Instead look at why they are driving at all, do people even need to commute to work, if so why are they not using mass or active transport?
