Rusty there are many questions to be asked along similar and the same vein to yours.
Has there not been possibly 5 or 6 CFO's leave this position over the similar no of years! Why is the ?

All the shares issued to "consultants and others" for their services, yet no details were or have been released because of " highly sensitive and ongoing nature of the negotiation/service or consideration being negotiated for, by the company at that time". Still shareholders have not, to my knowledge, ever been advised of the net result of the consideration received to AVQ shareholders in return for these share issues in AVQ! This has been happening year on year! Surely under astute prudence and governance by those in charge, there should have been something/s of considerable value added to AVQ's asset list by now! But not so if one goes by the the share price or AVQ's asset growth!

Personally can't remember the no of times the company has made press or shareholder releases telling all and sundry of "bonanza gold grade" results in their field work in Guadalcanal and VN. Yet not a cent of serious money has been invested in advancing these bonanza gold projects.
Why is the ?
Rusty you may have identified some parts of the answer. The BOD has no geology qualified or experienced expertise there whatsoever. Can't see when it ever has. Strange for exploration Co! Can only imagine how a board meeting would play out.
And to many peoples dismay AVQ is not a mining Co! It is at best, a poor exploration Co. The illusion (or allusion too) of the mining title, among other reasons, may be one of the things that stirred up ASIC's intervention in current cap raising. AVQ has never mined any minerals from the ground. No matter what rhetoric has been used to create this allusion, it is not a miner's backside. Bulk sampling, drilling, trenching, sampling, bldg roads and camps are not mining. They are all exploration steps along the path to somewhere up ahead, and no more. In many cases even less.
