andrewe, personally, I don't follow t4p's stocks unless by coincidence eg GDN early on, simply because there are so many followers and I don't like all the daytrader stuff that follows...I am not damning t4p with faint praise by the way because when he first posts on a stock the depth of research is outstanding, I just hate all the blame and recriminations that follow eventually if it doesn't pan out as hoped...but I will say that he picks some very interesting stocks if you have a stomach for risk, as many do here....far more often than not the stocks he posts on will allow an individual to make some gains and if they choose to, those gains can be locked in, for a free carry shot at the upside.

if people choose to let their whole position ride, and then it bombs, who is to blame? I am not criticising such decisions by the way - it depends on the context and the individual, I am doing this on another high risk project. Take GDN, now I know t4p posted it was still a great buy over a dollar BUT he also first posted on this late Oct when it was around 40c....now people who were in at 40 cents had ample opportunity to trade into a free carry position. eg I bought at 30c for a high risk punt on the Leadville, it spiked spectacularly as we all know, I offloaded mainly in the 90s (unfortunately missed the top) and then held a free carry until I gave up on this at 60c or so....If others didn't take any profits, then perhaps next time they will! these are usually highly speculative stocks and extremely volatile, with that opportunity comes a great deal of risk.

Now I certainly don't agree with some of the stuff he posts and I was critical of GDN reporting, but he puts forward a comprehensive argument, and his reasoning....he sees the glass as half full when perhaps a tastarga would see it as half empty, nonetheless he puts his analysis out there and it's up to individuals to take it or leave it!

GDN may be a stinker, time will tell, but I don't see the need for people who believe so to post it ad nauseum...the people who now hold GDN will be fully aware of both the positive and negative views at this point in time.

    Thanks and good luck.
