At least someone is watching. 2 posts today and the price went down. I thought I might be the kiss of death!
Seriously folks, sometimes it is not that much fun being the only positive poster round. Lots of noise about the sector and most of it being short term at best neutral or vaguely negative toward this stock.

A couple of points I would like to make.
    1) GDY does not have a monopoly on this sector by virtue of the lightning rig comin to shore soon. The argument goes that GRK and PTR have to go and beg GDY for the use of their rig to drill their holes. Hogswallop and fanciful tripe.
    - A deep hole rig is available in NZ through a receiver which with some modifications would do the trick.
    - Boart Longyear ( the biggest driller on the planet) has placed more orders for more onshore deep drilling rigs to cover Australia because of demand. Ask them yourself, I did.
    - PTR and GRK have invested squillions so far and they are not about to hand over their future to an unproven rig with unproven operators. Go dream of GDY taking over the sector. Get real.
    - The oil/gas sector in Australia has been knocking down very deep wells throughout this country for a very very very long time. The rigs are there, just schedule your work into the slot.

There is no major sector grand plan apart from survival. There is not greater obstacle than financial and economic viability. How the participants in the sector will achive it vary from company to company.
One certaintity remains unassailable. The capital costs of all these would be developers, whatever their state down the path to earnings, will be majorly dependent on capital costs for infrastructure. That means power line transmission costs.
Sorry for banging on my particular bandwagon but the cost of building a powerline will be a MAJOR determinant in future financial viability of these little companies.
I hear all the arguments about fracturing tests, temperature gradients, conductivit and flow rates and they are all important.
GRK has sure some challenges ahead.
The distance to market for these guys (8klms) cannot be stated enough as a major competitive advantage.
cheers and does anyone give a horses?
    omg
