Hi GeForce. Most of the semi trailer you see running up and down the highway have a Cummins Signature motor in them with the engine torque set at 600hp from factory. Of course Volvo have a Volvo engine in them but they are changing to Cummins due to unreliability and Australia emissions law.
All trucks are speed limited to 100 kph ish. They need the torque to get up and over mountains doing 100 kph ish. That is where they make up time on a trip within driver fatigue management laws.
Kangaroos and cow's are as dumb as dog s**t. Birds are not that much better. If one jumps out in front of a driver less truck doing 100 kph ish and 60 tonne on board, you have a major oops, Houston we have a problem! !!!!!!
Even if there is a driver on board, on impact and it breaks a sensor or headlight, you will be going no where until fixed. If the trucking company misses time slot due to waiting for truck to be fixed, penalties apply and no profit.
