The company are doing what they said they will do... Building the strong foundations, that should be able to stand the test of time. The market is the market, they cant change that. Putting his own $$ in is a very good sign in my opinion... If he had bought on market it would have cost him more... so the company assisted, and gets the $$ in the bank...
