I think the press, the public etc. should keep out of this. This child already has so much controversy before it even understands what its all about. I guess, with our hunger for sensationalism, the Press is simply feeding a hungry beast, namely, us, the public. None of our business.
Children are never screwed up - they always know who they are - eventually school, parents, the environment make them question their personality, looks, sexuality - standing in the pecking order - you name it. We are social animals, hence this predicament is inevitable.
If you read up on history you'll find bi-sexuality, homosexuality, hermaphroditism have always been around. My husband always insisted that the 'female' was the first creature created and the male was a modification. I used to laugh at him, but he is right, as we are finding out and the correct dosing of hormones received at birth, for example will cause a male baby's testicles to descend.
Now with the modern Western fast food diet, we already know that we are causing ourselves untold harm, is it possible that pharma, chemicals in the environment, medication given to the mother, or taken without prescription could cause their babies to be born different?
Lets not sensationalise this poor kid's predicament - whatever is written on a piece of paper will not impinge on its consciousness for quite a while yet.
