Outcomes from these 4 to 10 centers will used to train surgeons at the next 100+ centers.
If they don't have collective experience covering a wide range of situations, then the training will be incomplete.
Hence, "gather as much useful case data as possible"
No point not being prepared for a wide range of situations. They'll need a range of fringe cases (e.g. very young, very old, very obese, etc.) to confidently advise on standard procedure.
