I never claim to be an expert, at property or anything.
It's just what I think after some research and thoughts. That and about a decade being around enough properties to see that what's happening is going to end in disaster.
So if you want a time and date on the collapse, read a definitive history about it after the event.
All bubbles are backed by investor psychology and emotion, not on maths or financial reasoning. That's why no one can predict how far, how fast it'll go up, and go down.
Shouldn't laugh at Massey or others who's all doom and gloom. Not because I'm one of them.
Just because a young and healthy person has never been sick does not mean they would live forever.
Try talking to a young family with two kids with both parents working at a factory. Ask them if they could afford an apartment nowadays. I know a few who managed to buy a 2 bedroom, 50 year old flat in the suburbs a few years ago... but only because their parents or aunt lent them the cash to pay for that deposit.
Those aren't your poverty stricken Aussies. Just normal family needing help from families and relative, trying to pay the bills, put food on the table, kids to school.
