You may be right re other uses for ucg as the web site does say uses include industrial feedstock. In the case you mentioned, you dont think they were talking about surface gasifiction of mined coal? Hence the pretty big price ticket? Sometimes lateral, but simple solutions (in this case, ucg) are overlooked.
