Because you then do not get the benefits of shut-in to: a) imbibe into the shale to hopefully help release more hydrocarbons (as per various documents posted in last few days); and b) hopefully build enough pressure to minimise (or best case negate) the need for artificial lift of the water. Just guessing though and only those 'in the know' at Icewine can give an accurate answer. I suspect that, unlike the market, PB and DW are also seeking to learn as much as they can so that they can assess the impact (if any) of what they learn here, on the play as it pertains to the probability of success in the FB area, as well as the wider acreage.
