Seems quite interesting.. I missed out on a sell order this morning, so looks like I will be forced (or may as well) hold for a while.
My thoughts (could be wrong) is that if institutionals are buying in, they know more a lot more than us mere short-term investors or traders, as this is their job, and their firms profits on the line.
They make millions of dollars doing it, and they are actually investing their money for the profit of their own funds that people are buying into. So who are we to try and outguess their financial knowledge.
Nor do they simply look at the sorts of common data you or I might look at.. and must have some sort of connections at upper management level (although, yes, again, the board could be spinning things the opposite polarity). It would be stupid for them to buy in just looking at the indicators most others are looking at.
Maybe there is takeover rumours, and they have words from some other side of another fence nobody knows about. Something strange is going on for sure..
Even if staff stories are unhappy, I have worked in a large sharemarket success story a few years ago, and i do know that as regular staff, often staff can be oblivious to the real movements upstairs.
So this into consideration I'm still 50/50 on some positive moves into the future.
