Well blind Freddie would know that there isn't any coking coal on West Timor.

It has to be imported and coal loading facility at power station has problems. Such that the adjacent power plant loses up 30% production because trouble getting coal. GMC will not be able to use power station unloading facility.

I have been digging but have not found any information on the type of furnace. No announcement on this.

Reason because blast furnace requires 5t coking coal for every 1t on Mn ore - but less power requirement.

If electric arc furnace only needs 1.5t coking coal but more power. What is the price of coking coal?

So very important to know what type of furnace.

So earlier question - where are they getting coking coal from? And where will they unload it. Probably Tenau Port but limited access. Area has been set aside for Mn ore exporting which never eventuated, but may sometime in the future. But then have to truck from port to Bolok site adjacent the power station.

If blast furnace (which I suspect it is) then for 30,000t pa of FeMn need 150,000t pa of coking coal. That's 60 trucks a day based on 250 working days a year. Based on an hour trip both ways and 10 hr day then need 6 trucks to transport coking coal.
