Without wanting to rain on the parade, the only thing that concerns me is that Ralph Bagirathi was only appointed to his Brinkley position in January of this year.

So ... I'd be curious to know exactly why he left it, or was pushed, within only six months?

The Brinkley ann. of his appointment follows - note the glowing into. And in the next appointment ann, of his replacement, there is only one line, that Ralph'll be leaving in June. Something went wrong. Wondering what it is.

    Management Update and Director Change

    22 January 2007

The Board of Brinkley Mining is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ralph Bagirathi as Chief Executive Africa with effect from today.

Mr Bagirathi, aged 44, is a mining engineer who will manage the Brinkley Mining Group's interests in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo and report directly to the Board of the Company. He has extensive experience in the resource sector covering the areas of mine management, project development and project finance.

He has over 20 years experience performing roles ranging from Regional Mining consultant for Anglo Platinum Ltd; General Manager for Alexkor Ltd; managing mining resources for ABSA Bank and most recently as Executive Director for Decorum Capital Partners.

Ralph has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa and an MBA from Massey University in New Zealand.

Due to personal reasons, Mr Alan Thom who is the Chief Operating Officer and an Executive director of the Company has resigned from these positions with immediate effect.

The Board of Brinkley Mining further advises that Mr Gerard Holden will adopt an expanded executive role as Executive Chairman with immediate effect.

Mr Holden, Executive Chairman of Brinkley Mining, commented:

"We are delighted to have someone with Ralph Bagirathi's experience join the Company to help drive forward our interests in Africa. We look forward to the significant contribution Ralph will make to the Company. We thank Mr Thom for his contribution to the Company and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. In addition I look forward in my new position to working together with all parties to assist in the future development of the Company."
