i agree there is nothing more annoying than buying a share for a long term hold and then someone else comes in and scoops it up and gets the benefit. It happened to me with Oakton. Bought it after it really tanked in the GFC, held it through some very ordinary results and it was just starting to get some momentum when it got taken over. Made money out of it, but not what I should have. I really liked PRG and always thought it would get into the high $3 mark in a few years, was also looking forward to increasing dividends, as debt reduced. However it is no good kicking as a small investor - we are always last in the food chain. I have made a nice profit out of this, had some decent dividends along the way, so will move onto something else.
