Also i was talking permanent full time rates not casual like that ad.
Even my old man was a fridge mechanic for over 30 yrs working for Veolia and earnt around $70k.
I know a young guy who has duel trade (sheet metal/boilermaker) and a certified welder whos on about $25/hr.
The only guys i know earning big $$ are in construction on union jobs. Plumber, $42/hr.
My point is, the guys in my company have had multiple pay freezes since the GFC and havent seen a CPI increase since before the GFC.
1 IN 3 doin it tough, yeah id agree.
