The hydrocarbons are there alright, they're so close I can almost smell them. I think imbibition will do the trick. Once the rocks soak up the water, which silaceous shale should do, the vapour phase will hopefully unleash. I've got everything crossed and I couldn't live with myself if I bailed on the home straight.
