@Welsho54 & 2chance.
You sound like short term investors or day traders.
I am more of a long to mid term investor, so my views are different to some investors.
You are a bit sceptical about Sileach and maybe L-max. I think both have potential and Australia has some of the best scientists and engineers in the world. I should know because I was a scientist for a while.
Yes, there are risks scaling up from the lab to a commercial scale. But seriously, some modifications can be made to fix some problems (hopefully they are small to minimise costs). This applies for both Sileach and L-max large scale pilot processing plants.
ANSTO has a written statement that HF is NOT used as a reagent and HF by-products are minimal and able to be managed well within safety standards. HF is managed in other processing work around the world. This is not an issue with potential JV partners.
Unfortunately, I found most investors are not interested in the process, and do not want to hear too much complicated information. They are mostly concerned about the viability of the resource and the quality and value of the end product after processing. It is mostly about the profit.
Moreover, ANSTO also did pilot plant testing for ADY Resources, which is owned Enigri Group. I believe they have just built a new processing plant in Argentina last month. Their "game-changing lithium extraction technology is capable of producing battery grade lithium carbonate directly from raw, unconcentrated brine and processing it to the end product in 24 hours, at a low cost and with lower environmental impact".
Enigri is a big global company and they are able to TRUST the laboratory pilot plant research findings of ANSTO, and just took the risks when they moved to construction.
Nothing is guaranteed to work out smoothly on a commercial scale and investors always take a risk. But, who should I trust with research evaluation; you or ANSTO?
Anyway, I value you insight into some of the problems possibly faced on the road to commercialisation of Sileach and L-max, and look forward to reading more of your comments.
