If there is a correction or a gfc then everything will be affected, shares may stop/reduce dividends, some companies may fail. Put your money in a bank and get peanuts, or accept some risk for much higher returns. At least floating rate notes get paid before ordinary shares. Just do your research and think about whether the business has a future.
