What I said is a fact whether you believe it or not. Most in my electorate are not short of shekels and many are self funded and wealthy retirees. Every house in the street has a PIA swimming pool which gives some indication of the residents. And like your area many are one eyed Liberal supporters. Plus I live in Qld so the electricity rise is not great by comparison and early installed solar panels litter the rooftops - no one even mentions increased energy prices. I might add they still make maximum use of social security where it can be "organised" which may be legal - but hardly what I consider sensible or ethical when it is mainly loaded onto working families in the future and who are already struggling with lower wages and huge housing costs. There is way too much welfare that is completely unnecessary and that is impossible to sustain in the longer term. It is resulting in a huge number of young people being consigned to the poorhouse. Utter stupidity in my book.

But of course ol Tony was front and centre about even more and quite outrageous largess to be given to the wealthy - something I find unconscionable to be pushing such "ultra socialist" ideas yet claiming to be addressing debt - after all the only way it could be funded was to run the debt ceiling even higher. And all the time he crapped on about debt and disaster - what a crock when he was handing out bribes to the wealthy for no sane reason. I often wondered was he a little unhinged and how many in his own party had similar views ?

Tony had few decent policies - sure he stopped the boats but as I have previously said his support for outrageously lunatic causes destroyed his support within the overall "liberal broad church" as he called it LOL . His carping now is just sour grapes and it is destroying the Libs - just ask the liberal supporters in your electorate. He had his chance and muffed it big time so he should POQ and NCB. Most here actually laugh at his current sillyness.

Anyhow the libs need to find someone with more common sense than Abbott but the tank looks rather empty to me. No one stands out as being worth Jack Sheet to me - just a bunch of overpaid plonkers.

While I agree with quite a few of the points you raise, I still hold that the policies are killing the Party.

Jettisoning the dumb policies and campaigning is the only hope the Liberals have. Abbott saying "that the Emperor Has No Clothes" is only an echo of what the average person thinks. The Party is going down for the count whether Abbott speaks up or stays quiet.

Yours and my electorate are not the ones in which the hearts and minds need to be won over to take the Nation forward.

The elites in our suburbs are so detached from the every day lives of the average voters that they are almost retarded in their understanding of how things really are for a lot of people.

I'll put a question to you:

"If Abbott goes quiet and disappears as of today, what actually changes with the state of the Nation and the fortunes of the Liberal Party?

These are irrefutable facts:

Abbott can campaign but Turnbull can't.

Both Abbott and Turnbull can't talk without mumbling and stumbling and alternating their feet in their mouths and neither of them can either control or lead people............ they both have NFI when it comes to working with others around them.

Turnbull is a "Lefty Dreamer".

Abbott is a "Conservative Dreamer" yet under the cover of darkness he seems to drift back to Leftist policies to try and make himself popular.

I hope the Liberal Party along with the ALP are hit extra hard by the Alternate Political Parties at the next election (hopefully very soon) with nobody having absolute power.

I hope we go to another election six months after that so that the Trailer-trash can be removed from the political landscape and mainstream, instead of fringe politics can come back to running the show.
