Actually I think he/she does know what they are saying, or at least it reads that way to me....sounds like a genuine wireline guy to me...
I think maybe it's a bit confusing as you may have thought they were expecting you to understand or interpret the graphic posted...I don't think it was the intent...
I'll dig up my old wireline "cheat sheat", it shows how to interpret each of these readings but it does take a lot of time and experience to do, forgive me if I've misinterpreted the post, however I think the jist was just to explain that there are downhole tools that are used during drilling to show the lithology Etc to total depth....
