MGM Wireless secures prestigious Indian schools to trial
    messageyou™
Adelaide-based school services group MGM Wireless today announced that its messageyou™
state-of-the-art attendance management product is to be trialled in two prestigious Indian schools.
MGM Wireless and its joint venture partner, Roltin Global, have reached agreement with the Delhi
Public School and St Xavier's Boys High School to pilot messageyou™ in Ahmedabad, the largest
city in the state of Gujarat and the seventh largest city in India, with a population of almost 5.3
    million.
Mr Mark Fortunatow, executive chairman of MGM Wireless, said the company was extremely
excited to have secured these trials less than three months after the Roltin Global joint venture
had been agreed and just in time for the start of the school year in India.
"This is a real credit to the strength and reach of our Indian partners and a tremendous sign that
the Indian education system is ready to adopt leading edge technology solutions to provide better
communication links within school communities," Mr Fortunatow said.
Delhi Public School (DPS) in Ahmedabad is a substantial school with some 4,000 students
enrolled from pre-primary to high school years. The school is one of about 100 DPS schools
across India, managed by the Calorex Trust, a high-profile, non-profit organisation committed to
    educational excellence.
Mr Fortunatow said mobile phone penetration and usage was booming in India which had 166.05
million mobile phone users at the end of its financial year to March 31, 2007, compared with just
96.16 million at the end of March 2006, according to data supplied by the government and
    industry associations.
Both MGM Wireless and Roltin Global, part of the Makwana family's Texspin conglomerate of
companies, are excited at this toehold in the education market on the Indian sub-continent, Mr
    Fortunatow said.
"Our company's text message based systems are changing lives for students and school
communities in Australia, New Zealand, America and now India," Mr Fortunatow said.
