This is an absolute national disgrace which should be fully investigated, how this can occur regularly now that some of them have been exposed, time to root out every dodgy pollie in this fine country of ours that tries to hide their true calling without fail and sack every one of them who try to hide their true calling, these smarties should not be representing this country in any way.
No sweeping this under the carpet this time Mal-for once-do something!!

Ditto, I think you will find that the onus is on the candidate to self assess and sign to say they are eligible to run as a candidate etc.

Probably stems from an age where politicians were beyond reproach.
