I don't find it weird, but I understand what you're getting at.

I've worked for my current employer for 10 years and I've seen morale and trust destroyed in management with a previous CEO. Don't fall off your chair, but engagement was at a staggering low, less than 25%. A company making billions in revenue. The current CEO was initally puzzled at why we weren't trusting or engagement lifting when there was a change in management. It was simple, it was going to take time to build the trust.

Time is still needed.

Every word of military I read I brush over -- "we made significant strides" -- well that's great, we did two years ago too. Alexiflam - DW, new product - great we're working with potential new customers; pretty sure I heard that we have potential new customers every month last year.

So we have a change in management but in order for the trust to return we need no fluff and to be hitting nails on the head. I believe they're getting hit, but it would instill great confidence in trust if a major sale/contract/licence came to fruition, because you'd then re-read Dirk's commentary and think what's he about to achieve next. It would also enforce our product, where as a drop in growth makes one question it.
