My thoughts - Dirk did say in a presentation prior to the 4c (the one in Sydney) that some customers had been dropped due to lack of profit margin for the company. I think the problem might be that didn't necessarily go out to everyone, though I thought there had been reference to it in other announcements.
As for the puffery. I am waiting to judge until what we see reflects Dirk's ownership of announcements. Up until 30 June, announcements were controlled by Nick and Gavin so I don't think you can hold Dirk to account for puffery or slanted comms. I don't know about you but I reckon I can tell which paragraphs in any announcement are Dirk's and which show the hand of someone else.
Mind you I repeat my anxiety that even now there will be intense pressure from Gavin - and who knows maybe even from Nick through his relationship with Gavin - to adopt last year's style. Hey Dirk. Be strong!!!!!
