My fellow PLS investors. I have copped some strange comments from a post I made attempting to explain why PLS dipped yesterday. If you care to reread it I in know way attempted to X promote but simply point out that hot money moves quickly from one stock to another. I certainly have done my utmost to keep people on this thread up to date with all the things that matter to investors. I am pretty sure that I was the first person to recently break the story on the potential at Mt Francisco after a long chat with management at the recent RRS.

A couple of the posts made yesterday from Evidence and Ianwill are just blatantly wrong. Evidence , mate AVZ operates in the DRC not Namibia perhaps you should get your evidence checked before making such silly statements. The court case referred to by Ianwill was settled many months ago and the subsequent appeal disallowed. Oh and by the way the hole that AVZ reported on was drilled underneath a disused open cut mine. To infer that no one knows where it was drilled just beggars belief. Appears I have two more excellent candidates for my naughty corner. Be seeing you guys.

There have been many comments made about investing in the Africa and the DRC. I suggest that if you have no knowledge of working in Africa that you be guarded in what you say because you may be unaware that business does go on despite some of the intricacies that do exist in that environment. I spent 11 years working in mining in four countries and have three children born in different African countries. It is just a marvellous place to live and work.

There is no question that the DRC is more challenging than some other African countries but companies and especially mining companies do manage to run businesses there. A relevant example of the importance of the DRC is that the DRC currently produces between 60 and 80% of the worlds cobalt which when combined with lithium and graphene and nickel enables the production of Li ion batteries. We have a vested interest in the DRC whether we like it or not.

The investment in infrastructure in central Africa by Chinese companies is in the many billions of dollars. They are building a transport infrastructure (roads and rail) to enable the mineral wealth in central Africa to be developed. As the biggest consumer in the world of minerals this is not surprising and they have been forced to do it because the western countries that previously colonised these countries did not have the nous or the right strategies to do it. The DRC is considered to be one of the most exciting mining destinations in the world because of the rich deposits of gold copper nickel etc etc. It would appear that not only tantalum is in abundance but a huge swag of historical data points to a huge range of pegmatites rich in lithium at Manono in the DRC. The Chairman of AVZ who is a geologist, last year sold a gold deposit in the DRC for US$500m after spending I think $50m proving up the size of the resource. Clearly he hopes to do something similar with AVZ.

Someone I know quite well told me recently that he was considering an appointment on a mine in the DRC but a few weeks later decided purely for family reasons it was not possible to take up the offer at that stage. He was not the slightest bit worried about working there but time away from his teenagers made it impractical. I remember he rattled off the names of magic mining companies operating in the DRC.

That's all I have to say and I know people will make their own investment decisions as they see fit but it would be helpful if they do make posts that they are balanced and informed. Have to run now and inform investing novices SOS , Blastfurnace and SN and a few other fools that their current investments in AVZ are doomed to fail

Disclosure: I hold > 3m PLS shares and also have quite a few AVZ shares and oppies but can't divulge how reckless I have been .... at least on this thread it would seem. LOL
