Interestingtome, to me this story would indicate that amyloid perhaps could be used as antimicrobial drug, it is better than penicillin etc. But what I understand, AD is "an amyloid accumulation disease" due to that it's elimination process does not work, cells have no energy enough to eliminate it. This story tells however that amyloid has a purpose in brain.
