For the complex SOA's perhaps, but for anything simplistic I don't think they do. Clients data etc is already in xplan or similar and it's a pretty basic templated approach.
HAC had a split of about 70/30 simple v complex SOA's. Assuming that, it's 70% of the work that could be outsourced to make an advisers life easier. I've never seen IAM as a full solution that allows you to remove all paraplanners, it is useful for the simple stuff that is repetitive.
