Ask any academic/ scientific researcher what is that moment they often dread? When you arrive at that moment where you have to write up results. Something some try to put off doing - by doing more research (guilty as charged BTW) and I had colleagues who had gone a decade doing their experimental work producing result after result, never writing it up and never progressing beyond their undergrad degrees. The exciting bit is done and the hard bit's here, where you actually have to sit down go through them and write in up into a coherent intelligent article, report, thesis whatever. One that will satisfy whoever is involved, be it your fellow researchers, your supervisors your managers, whoever is paying for it etc etc. Think who is involved here, and the RAP team have just received the results (to the best of our knowledge), the number churners have done their work. Give the RAP team and their collaborators a break.

Know what is the great thing about sitting down and writing all the results of months of research? All sorts of great stuff, the unexpected even, emerges. This part of the journey often turns out to be the most rewarding part of research, and very often the hardest part. We have some pretty amazing people in Oz and from 3 highly credentialed Hospitals in the US involved. What are the chances they have screwed or will screw this up?
