Past state governments, both Liberal and Labor, had sold Australians short.

Infrastructure assets for essential services, such as electricity and gas, public transport, should never have been sold to profit-making enterprise. Once sold, state governments are powerless to control the prices these private enterprises charge consumers who are at their mercy.

In the last WA state election Labor, went to the people with retaining Western Power as a state owned entity.
Pathetic abbott repealed the carbon tax, and low and behold electricity prices increased.
