thankyou GW just so people are better informed, I held FMS for two years thought it had good possibilities then the t/o came the resulting offer below my cost I sold at market at offer price it went on to triple at 7.5c, in that intervening period i bought AGO a stock I had interest in for some time bought at 1.2c increased the holding and sold 4 months later for 2,5c it went on to 4.4c or so, more recently I re entered at 1.35,1.45,1.55 over a 3 month period and sold this week at 2.5c average cost 1.475
the point is trading is as much about pyschology as fundamentals and the by product is profit from my perspective I set predetermined entry points and have an exit target before I buy , so quiet often I miss the big runs up I also miss big runs down the objective of trading is profit and while a thing like FMG over a 15 year period is mind blowing I am here to earn an income not boast about multibaggers and am never likely to have one because of my trading strategy.
so AGO trade 1 returned over 100%, trade 2 over 45%, I wish they were all that good, for a portfolio I have to admit I rely on LIC,s trading is a great way to engage , charts I use for basic evaluation but the far right hand edge of the screen is filled with possibility and probability , I trade best when I accept probability and generally once realised do not re enter to try and find possibilty, so at this point for AGO I have two possible entry points and neither have been met should they be met I also have predetermined exit points, meanwhile the rest of the ASX is beckoning but not overly attractive at present---- so I hope as "a Loser" you find this of interest I buy DOOM and GLOOM and sell OPTIMISM and remain an optimist everyone should share the table and leave something there for the others
