1. I don't entirely agree with how renewable energy is being rolled out , particularly in Australia . It could have been done much better . I have posted on that many times before .
I do think that nukes have missed their window unfortunately . Fukishima probably happened at a really bad time from them . If they can find a way to not produce radioactive waste they will be back in the game I reckon .
2. The western countries like us need to lead the way . We do have the financial ability to do this . It would pretty hard to say to everyone else to clean up their act while we don't .
3. China and India do have renewable energy policies and they are installing large amounts of it . China in particular are the ones that are smart enough to profit out of it by selling it to the rest of the world . Trump pulled out of the Paris agrrement and yet still said he would do a deal if he could . In the meantime , quite a few American states are getting together to ignore Trump on this .
4. The obsession is all to no purpose ? So reducing pollution , reducing enviromental damage and cleaning up the planet is a waste of time ? Possibly making energy cheaper in the future rather than increasingly expensive is a bad idea ?
