You do raise some points however - IMO if you genuinely seek, you will find that which was from the beginning which you have heard, the word of life = God and His words = Seed of God.
However, as Jesus points out, the seed needs to be on good ground to grow/mature, otherwise it will get blown away, washed away etc.
Brings that song to mind - Where have all the flowers (seeds) gone, long time passing....... haha
