Very surprised that this latest earthquake in Japan has had no effect on the stock price. It highlights the danger surrounding the Japanese property market.
When the big one hits around Tokyo, the devastation will be enermous. There are nuclear plants along the coast just south-west of Tokyo that are in seismicly active areas.
I saw a documentary in Japan where they simulated a quake that affected such a nuclear plant. They claim that the plants were only built to withstand quakes of a magnitude in the 6s because of the corrupt officials within the government. They predict that a quake above 7 near the plant would wipe out most of the population in the Kanto region...KOWAI!!!!!!
