When I visited them in Melbourne a few months back I got the distinct impression a RISK resource update would only be completed and released in the event that it was needed. For instance, if there had been a take over attempt from WPL before the CNE resource update on 22nd August, or if the CNE update is substantially less than where FAR believes it should be they will complete and release the RISK update so the SP won't come under pressure making FAR vulnerable to a low ball take over.
When I visited FAR it was a couple of days before the PE bomb was released and from memory the "What do you want" phone call from WPL had been the day before. I think there vulnerability was palpable and there was a sense that RISK resource upgrade was being kept on ice as a strategic weapon if they came under attack. FAR wanted everyone to know it was there and it could be released so share holders would be able to make an informed decision on the value of the SNE. It is my opinion that this is why we have not seen that low ball take over bid that has been talked about endlessly.

As you know, I have been of the opinion that FAR intends to go all the way to production with as big a percentage of SNE as they can hang onto without putting FAR at risk. At the risk of boring you I will repeat myself. I have never met an explorer who did not want to be a miner or producer. I am sure I see that same determination in Cath eyes.

Fingers crossed the announcement next week (Monday?) is every thing we all hope. You can bet the midnight oil is being burned around the screens at FAR this weekend.
