"In the longer outlook, this share is going to double. The company has done the right thing for the long term holders, just not the 'quick in and out traders'"
How? By not offering first dibs to existing shareholders? By not having an oversubscription clause? By only allowing us to vote on the retail offer and not the insto offer?
But yes, I think it will eventually double. But this is going to face massive headwind as people burnt by this wont come back. As opposed to previous sentiment which was good.
"so what do we do chops?"
Well, I will be selling if it makes a lower low. And it is very possible if recent trading is anything to go by. These mysterious "instos" are nowhere to be seen below 40c.
Other than that, go to the EGM. I will asking a number of questions.
And they may include things like:
1) Why was the offer so low in comparison to broker reports, and recent trading?
2) Why is it only that the retail offer is being voted on which is incredibly minimal dilution in comparison? They have us screwed here though.
3) Who was selling on the day of the last Carilya Hill announcement?
4) Who was selling on the day of the trading halt?
5) Why were shareholders told the announcement was not disasterous when the subsequent announcement resulted in a combined total of a 20- 25% reduction in the share prce?
I don't think it will do anything, but I think it will stop them from being so blatantly stupid in the future...
