    yesterday I actually spoke to Johm McDonny from the surveillance dept

    They attribute the plunge to the GSJBW SELL

    The suggestion (by me) of conflict of interest re JP Morgan and potentially GSJBW and CITI ( their investment banking arms just happen to be the biggest players in the M&A field,...surprise, surprise )they have been discouraged by the recent ruling in favour of CITI (in the Patrick/Toll takeover)where they tried to nail them for insider trading and lost....?
